My name is Randy Lazar and I will be the new principal of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School for the 2020-2021 school year. I am extremely excited to start this new adventure and be part of the St. Anthony of Padua family!
My wife, Joyce and I, have been married for almost 30 years. I have two children. My daughter’s name is Veronica. She just completed her first year of college. My son, Michael, just completed his freshman year of high school. My family lives in east Mesa. I completed my college coursework in the field of education at Arizona State University.
I am a parishioner of St. George Roman Catholic Church in Apache Junction. I serve as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and a Life Teen Core Member. I also volunteer for various key events over the course of the year. I would cherish the opportunity to participate in as many activities and functions as possible at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Who knows, maybe you will see me read at Mass, or serve Communion as a Eucharistic Minister, or serve as a volunteer for a fundraising activity.
Over the years, I have worked as a special education teacher, a general education teacher, an education program specialist for the Arizona Department of Education, a director of special education, and as an elementary school principal. After working in the field of public education for over thirty-three years, I found myself drawn to contribute my experiences and talents in a Catholic school setting. It will be an honor and a blessing for me to serve as the principal of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School. I am looking forward to a great school year! As the new principal, I will continue to foster strong faith, academic excellence, and selfless service.
