Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten
Saint Anthony of Padua’s Preschool offers an Early Childhood Development program for children from the ages of three (3) years to five (5) years of age. According to state regulations, a child must be fully potty-trained. Our purpose is to provide a safe, healthy, and caring learning environment. We strive to identify the strengths and needs of our program in order to promote the highest quality education for our students. The curriculum is developmentally-appropriate and includes child-initiated and child-directed activities within a framework provided by a teacher. Please know that we work hard to ensure that our Pre-Kindergarten program is aligned with our kindergarten. Weekly and/or monthly thematic units are presented in a center-based environment that will include stimulation of the child’s cognitive, emotional, physical, social development and spiritual growth.
Preschool Philosophy Statement
St. Anthony of Padua Preschool provides an educational atmosphere where children foster a love of learning and grow to their fullest potentials. Parents are viewed as the primary educators and it is the school’s wish to work with parents in helping children to grow spiritually, socially, educationally and physically. Our environment encourages hands-on learning opportunities and enables children to be creative using problem solving skills as part of the learning process.
